My Native Family applies the principle of data minimisation: we only collect strictly necessary information, and only with your explicit consent or in order to provide a service you have requested.

3.1 — Downloading the Immersive Travel Guide (freebie)

When you download our free guide, we collect your first name and your email address.

  • Purpose: to send you the Immersive Travel Guide by email.
  • Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

3.2 — Signing up to the "New immersive cultural guides" list

When you sign up to be notified when our country cultural guides are released, we collect your first name and your email address.

  • Purpose: to let you know as soon as a new immersive cultural guide is available.
  • Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

3.3 — Signing up to the "New 'A day with…' experiences" list

When you sign up to be notified when new immersive days go online, we collect your first name and your email address.

  • Purpose: to let you know as soon as a new "A day with…" experience is available.
  • Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

3.4 — Booking a 15-minute discovery call

When you book a call for a tailor-made travel project, we collect your first name, your email address, and any information you wish to share about your project (planned destination, dates, wishes, context).

  • Purpose: to organise this free phone call, understand your project, and offer you personalised support if it matches your expectations.
  • Legal basis: steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

3.5 — Booking and paying for a service

When you confirm a service (personalised support in Latin America, a cultural guide, an "A day with…" experience), we collect the information needed to carry out your trip: last name, first name, email, phone, dates, preferences, and any information useful to personalise your experience.

Payment is made via a secure Stripe link sent by email. Bank details (card number, security code) are entered and processed directly by Stripe — My Native Family never has access to your banking information.

  • Purpose: performance of the contract, invoicing, customer follow-up.
  • Legal basis: performance of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) and legal accounting obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

05Retention period

  • Discovery call request not followed up: 3 years from the last exchange.
  • Email list subscription (freebie, cultural guides, days with…): until you unsubscribe, then deleted within 30 days.
  • Customers who have used a service: 5 years from the end of the service.
  • Accounting records (Stripe invoices): 10 years, in accordance with legal obligations.

06Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss, alteration or disclosure. The website is protected by an SSL certificate (HTTPS) that encrypts exchanges between your browser and our server. Our processors (Infomaniak, Brevo, Stripe) also apply high security standards: encryption, authentication, traceability.

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights over your personal data:
